When the founder had their first baby, Ben in 2004, the travel system buggy they bought had a rather drab, ill-fitting footmuff which came as part of the deal. This was OK at first but whenever the wind blew they had to stuff blankets into the footmuff to keep him warm. Then spring came and the weather improved and they thought nothing more about it until they had their second child, Evie in the winter of 2005.
They had long since got rid of the large, bulky travel system and replaced it with a lighter buggy but it didn't come with a footmuff at all. That's when they hot-footed it down to the local fabric shop for some inspiration and when they saw all the lovely fleece fabric designs they got really excited.
After a few prototypes, they have now mastered the Cosytoes. They fit most children up to the age of three(ish) - depending how big/tall your child is and they fit most buggy types due to them having two positions for the shoulder straps and two positions for the leg strap.
